The Language Teaching, Practice and Research Center (DİLMER) at Atlas University is dedicated to the development of qualified professionals in the field of Turkish language instruction as a foreign / second language. Through its comprehensive programs, the center aims to address the growing demand for expertise in this area. In addition to Turkish, DİLMER also offers English and German language education, fostering the development of participants’ linguistic competencies and supporting their attainment of internationally recognized proficiency standards.

Programmes by DİLMER

1. Certificate Program for Teaching Turkish as a Foreign/Second Language

The Certificate Program for Teaching Turkish as a Foreign / Second Language, organized by DİLMER, aims to equip participants with comprehensive knowledge and competencies in Turkish language instruction. Participants in the program will:

• Learn both traditional and modern teaching methodologies.
• Gain the opportunity to introduce Turkish culture to international students.
• Develop skills in enhancing language teaching through technology and AI-supported tools.

2. Online English and German Courses (A1, A2, B1 Levels)
• Duration: 14 weeks, with two online sessions per week.
• Content:
• Structured lessons focused on improving listening/speaking and reading/ writing skills.
• Interactive exercises designed for practical use of English / German in real-life situations.
• Individualized support from instructors throughout the learning process.
3. TESOL Certification Program
• Duration: 120 hours, fully online.
• Objective: To provide participants with an internationally recognized certification in English language teaching, enhancing their professional expertise.
• Content:
• Nine modules covering topics such as lesson planning, classroom management, and student assessment.
• Practical applications and feedback-based learning processes.
4. AI-Supported Education Program
• Duration: 20-hour online program.
• Objective: To enable participants to integrate AI tools into language teaching.
• Content:
• Utilization of AI tools like ChatGPT and similar AI tools.
• Designing AI-supported personalized learning experiences.
